Chris Sukornyk (CEO)

Prior to founding Chango, Mr. Sukornyk co-founded The X-Stream Network which became Europe’s fastest growing Free ISP. X-Stream was sold in March 2000 to LibertySurf for US $75 Million. More recently, Mr. Sukornyk co-founded Bubbleshare, a consumer focused photo sharing web application which was sold to Kaboose (TSX: KAB). In addition, Mr. Sukornyk founded Fivelimes, a green focused social-shopping site that was recently sold to Avid Life Media. Mr. Sukornyk left Kaboose in early 2008 to pursue the launch of Chango.

Duncan Hill (Executive Director)

Duncan was the Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Think Dynamics, a developer of data center provisioning and automation software, which was acquired by IBM in May 2003. Duncan recently served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Ventures West, and currently sits on the board of directors of RapidMind, and on advisory boards at Opalis, Cirba, Reasonably Smart, Embotics, ServiceMesh, and the Velocity program at the University of Waterloo.

John Elton

John Elton is a venture capitalist at iNovia Capital. He focuses on digital media and software investments in Canada and the US. He also heads iNovia’s US initiatives. John has spent his career as an advisor, investor or operator in the digital media sector. While at Turnstone Capital, John advised dMarc Broadcasting on its first round of institutional financing as well as an acquisition prior to its sale to Google (acquired for up to $1.2B.) Prior to this, John co-managed a venture capital fund for Gulf International Bank which invested in eMotion (acquired by Corbis), DigiMine (now Audience Sciences), and Anystream (now Grab Networks.) John also worked as a consultant for McGill University’s technology transfer unit, a partner institution of iNovia’s. In addition, John worked in strategic planning for 24/7 Media (acquired by WPP for $649 million) and as an investment banker at Veronis Suhler Stevenson a merchant banking firm focused on the media and communications industries. John currently serves or is an observer on the board of directors of Chango, Collective Media, Vizu, Standout Jobs and LegiTime Technologies. John also leads iNovia’s investment in Urgent Career. John received an M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from New York University and holds a B.A. Degree in Economics from Lehigh University.

Roger Chabra

Roger is a General Partner at Rho Canada, a division of Rho Capital Partners. He joined Rho in 2010 and focuses on investments in new media, software, wireless and communication companies at the early stages of development. Prior to Rho, Roger worked as a venture investor at GrowthWorks Capital where he was on the board of a number of successful investments including Xkoto (acquired by Teradata), Whitehill (acquired by Oracle), NetShelter Technology Media and Paymentus. He was also previously an early-stage investor at the corporate venture arm of BCE’s wireless division. Prior to his career in venture capital, Roger was a technology start-up CEO at Mobilessence and worked in a variety of web technology-focused roles at Rogers Wireless and Sapphire Technologies (acquired by Randstad). Roger received an M.B.A. from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
