Managing search retargeting campaigns is hard work. I recently sat down with two of our campaigns managers to understand what it takes to make those campaigns work for clients.
This week, we are meeting Martha Twidale.
What’s your role at Chango? I work as an Account Manager - my role is to build and optimize campaigns for our various clients.
Campaign optimization: is this art or science? Science, data is crucial. We have access to thousands of keywords and hundreds of ad placements. We use a Learning Engine to find the best possible ad placement for customers based on their previous searches. Everything we do revolves around data.
Why would you say Chango is different than other retargeting companies? We have built our own Demand Side Platform (DSP) – from top to bottom everything at Chango has been custom made. This means we optimize campaigns at the most granular levels.
What keeps you awake at night? Prioritizing for the next day. With so many great clients to manage, we have to make sure that they all get the attention they deserve.
Why is Chango such an awesome place to work? The people are wonderful and our Toronto office is really amazing. This month Evan, head of the Social Committee, is organizing two fun social events – curling and wine making.

Martha is an Account Manager and focuses on campaign set up and optimization. Prior to joining Chango, Martha completed her Master’s degree in International Relations at the University of Toronto and worked for the United Nations. In addition, Martha has a B.A. from McGill University.
